Welcome! That's what you'll hear and what you'll feel when you attend any of the services at our church. As senior pastor - and a "newcomer" myself - I want to extend my personal invitation to you not only to explore our website, but to also come to a worship service and experience the love of God that has transformed and continues to shape our lives. I can promise you that when you get here, you'll feel an immediate sense of "welcome" both from the people and from the presence of the Holy, Loving Heavenly Father who offers you the forgiveness of sin through the sacrifice of His Son - the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His life so you too could be welcomed into the eternal family of God. First and foremost my wife and I are very excited to be here in Quitman serving the students and equipping them to walk with God for life. My desire is to also equip the parents and youth workers to assist in discipleship and mentoring the students. Paul says that he is unashamed of the Gospel of Christ because it is the power unto salvation. My desire is for the students to be unashamed of the Gospel and to be the next leaders of the church. Colossians 1:28-29 says that, ‘We proclaim Him, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. I labor for this, striving with His strength that works powerfully in me.’ My desire is to have the students know Christ our Savior, to grow in their faith, and to live for Christ for the remainder of their lives.
